It's a shame that Leo will miss out on that Oscar he wants so much again. This comes out the same year Daniel Day-Lewis will play Lincoln. Talk about bad timing. Bummer for him.
A hipster film buff's wet dream. Mix tapes? Polaroids? Trenchcoats? Anna Karina haricut? Did you see that sketch of Woody Allen on his wall?....... But, it was so damn charming! Damn it. Damn it. 3.5/5
You won't find a more honest movie about modern Australian life. Fan-bloody-tastic.
If the film wasn't so bland, Christian McKay probably would have won something for his performance. So damn good.
I rate this film 11.
Wow. The spaghetti scene. Just... wow. "Tell me what you want me to be... I can be that."
Seems pretty standard fare as far as documentaries go. A lot of the talking head interview with current-day Dylan is even terribly out of focus!... But the content is just too damn interesting to ignore. The last 20 minutes alone is enough to push this into 4 stars; that's what we came here for, Marty, to see Dylan in his time, being loved and hated and worshiped and rebuked...and how he didn't ask for any of it.
Just rewatched it. One of those films I feel fortunate to have seen.
amazing.

I could not think of a more perfect short film. Holy moly,
Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlJ5Y4W81Yg
Please let me relive this film over and over.
Great scene with a Nick Cave song!
If it weren't for The Wrestler two years before, this movie would never have been made. Rourke had to sweat, fight, struggle, and break himself to get noticed in that role, and in this Bridges just waltzes through and gets the Oscar, thank you very much. (He is good though.)
Farce, character, mistaken identity, tongue-twisters, one-liners and parody converge. Kaye is comic gold, bringing understated winks to such intricately plotted silliness. Will forever remain one of my favourites.
genius
Gorgeous. I was apprehensive at first about how it would work, but Jonze takes the tale to the next level.
