Nice explanation. Was just curious to hear what created the pretentiousness. I am reading an excerpt from "Me and You and Memento and Fargo," and apparently Van Sant approached Korine to fashion a screenplay about Columbine and high school violence. I don't know if Harmony would have beat some of his previous themes to death with a Columbine type project, but it would have been an interesting flick.
