I think I've seen complaints about the gore in his films in that it's kind of unrealistic, and I dunno, maybe it is... but I definitely think it can be pretty gross. His earlier stuff is pretty interesting too--Lizard in a Woman's Skin, Four of the Apocalypse (a personal favorite, v. v. good, probably my favorite Fulci of all time?), Massacre Time... However, shark vs. zombie will always be close to my heart because come on, how is that not AWESOME? And really, there is no other word for that scene. It is truly awesome. I've only seen a few of his filums, but I really like Elio Petri. Sergio Corbucci's cool. Ruggero Deodato kinda sucks but his movies are fun in an exploitationy kind of way. I watched over 1000 movies last year but I'm blanking on anyone else. I watch a lot of the... pointless, knock off type things with directors who don't really count.
