As a Film Professor , my main job is to support my students of film, and hopefully help get their films into festivals around the world as well as win awards and other contests. The more glamorous part of my job has me traveling to Sundance, Cannes, Telluride, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Barcelona, Dubrovnik, or wherever else our student films may be screening. The more fulfilling part of my job is helping the truly talented students succeed instead of the imposters who try to break into the biz through pretense or nepotism. Success is so much sweeter when it is earned through hard work and painful learning experiences.
