I apologize to those who did not really understand what i meant, but first I appreciate those who summarized the director’s background, and their films. My question wasn’t asking which director is the better or the best but what im trying to say(because this is a forum and people are supposed to explain and talk about the subject and not judge it) is that these directors are masters and basically i just need people’s opinion about them and what they did for the cinema history. Much Gracias!!
1. Marlon Brando
2. Robert De Niro
3. Clint Eastwood
1. Marlon Brando because he just has this killer look that get a woman’s attention without saying a word.
2. Robert De Niro because well you wouldn’t want to mess with me if he’s around.
3. And of course Clint Eastwood because he’ll spank you like your momma & poppa never ever did.
im just glad we still have CLINT EASTWOOD…i believe he’s going to release another film or directing another film. THE HUMAN FACTOR is the name of the film. Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon are going to be in it. I dont know when it comes out.
there are plenty but just a quick pick top 10 (in order)
1. 8 1/2
2. Citizen Kane
3. The Bicycle Thieves
4. Vertigo
5. Sunset Blvd
6. Tokyo Story
7. The Third Man
8. 2001: A Space Odyssey
9. Chinatown
10. The Searchers
I was just wondering what it would be like if ORSON WELLES directed a movie with the following:
LEADING ACTOR: MARLON BRANDO
LEADING ACTRESS: ULLA JACOBSON
SUPPORTING ACTOR: PETER LORRE
SUPPORTING ACTRESS: INGRID BERGMAN
BAD GUY(if necessary): ORSON WELLES himself
THORSTEN: Who’s to play Dorothy then? Miley Cyrus? Kirsten Stewart? And Bill Murray as the Scarecrow? Or would he rather play the Wizard? The Wicked Witch may have the face (and body) of Monica Belucci?
I appreciate the reply—-that’s true about Brando and Welles..I just can’t get Welles out of my mind about him being a bad guy. I guess i want to see more of Welles to kind of be like a bad chill-out type of character. On the other hand Lorre,(i just love how his face sucks up all the attention on the screen) he’s more like a go-to-guy in my opinion. Bergman is just too much in a good way, she’d balance the character’s chemistry throughout the film. And Brando is Brando.
Orson Welles would be Leonardo Da Vinci almost perfect in every way—-Quentin Tarantino would be that little girl who just messes up the painting but also makes a masterpiece at the same time—-and billy wilder would be a chocolate maker(yeah i consider them visual artists) sweet and precise!!!
haha ok i have got to put a stop to this. i already sent travis a message that “M” was the right answer. i told myself “darn” the first reply was the right answer. i got stumped!! haha i apologize people. it’s “M” -— @KENJI “No doubt we’ll be kicking ourselves” haha my bad.

once in a month, twice in a moment, but you won't find it in a thousand years almost 3 years ago
this topic isn’t interesting at all, but i just wanted to give it a try to put it on here and to see if anyone can guess what it is.
i dont know if you wanna call it a riddle or a question:
“ONCE IN A MONTH, TWICE IN A MOMENT, BUT YOU WON”T FIND IT IN A THOUSAND YEARS"
i know that once i give up the answer, most people would go nuts and ask me why i put it up in the first place, but we just wanna have some fun.
hint: its a black & white movie
