I loved this film from the first time I saw it and I am actually quite suprised that it is not that well known, everyone that I have ever talked to has never heard of this film. Which is quite a shame really as this is such a monumental piece of cinematic excellence and it holds a powerful message.
I agree on Speilberg being an overrated director, he is all you ever here about..it is always “speilberg this” and “speilberg that” Ok, Schindlers List is an excellent film and indeed he has done awesome work, but the man does have a couple of flops to his name as well
(Indiana Jones: Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull was god awfull). An it should be known, Speilberg was the first director I had ever heard of, so naturally I would have thought he was the best..now I think otherwise.
Would Clockwork Orange be considerd a Brittish film? I mean it is set in Brittian with an all Brittish cast, however I believe Stanley Kubrick was an American.
Well. the only scene’s I have seen in O Lucky Man are the roof top scene with Hellen Mirren and Malcolm Mcdowell, the half pig man scene, and the coffee tasting scene.
The cafe scene in If… is definitly one to remember.
ok, I do have to agree that while Forrest Gump is a great and very memorable movie it is quite ovveratted, I mean…take this example; before I saw the movie people were chastising me because I had not seen it! Like I had committed some great crime, ok, I dont believe it is a crime if you have yet to see this film.
I was talking about the film Control, not anything else…I just happened to notice that the message board for this film was empty up untill now and I thought it desereved a bit of praise.

It should be known to all of you that when I state that these are the BEST films ever, of course I am not trying to claim that these are the BEST films as approved by the masses. But that these are the BEST films as approved by your’s truly, and while yes most (but not all!!) the films listed are of English language that does not exclude the fact that I would be willing to view a foreign language film. I consider myself fairly open minded when it comes to films and make it a point to see any movie at least once, just to see if I like it.
