Not as clever as it thinks it is, but Downey's sharp sense of humor comes through, and it was clearly something new and interesting at the time. By the time he made "Putney Swope", his wit as a filmmaker was honed to the sharpness of a samurai's katana.

I am re-listening to some of the older episodes on my iTunes and realised that I first heard about The Boxer's Omen through your show, and I feel I should give you a compliment about it. I imported it very early in the year and found a film I will remember for a long time - it now sits proudly alongside the other bizarre and imaginative miscrients in my DVD collection. Thank you for reviewing it for the show, even if your co-host was less than happy.

Well, the Facebook import makes things easy, but those certainly would have made it on there nonetheless. I saw The Woman in Black last night. I didn't have super high expectations, but I did want to see if Daniel Radcliffe was worth anything sans Harry Potter and whether Hammer can successfully reboot itself. It gets a little weird and rushed in the end but overall it was a satisfying movie. Nothing terribly new or novel, but it had me on edge throughout the film, relying on classic horror tactics rather than wanton violence (hence the appropriate PG-13 rating, not a turnoff in this case). Let me know if you see it.

haha, if you liked the other two Harold and Kumar movies then you'll like this one. It's kind of more of the same stuff, but I love it.
