'"Ruth: Because I mean, to hell with the equality of the sexes. I'm going to cook for you."' '"John: The great thing is, if men can cook at all, women think it's wonderful. Mary: Well, it is. John: No, it's not. It's really a legend. Like sex and black men."'

I really love the scene where John Hurt's composer character is working, experimenting in his studio, creating these great electronic sound effects. It's super sensory. So cool.

I wish that I had an Auntie Mame. Wot a dame! And a Vera. These two are hilarious together!!
First watched this eight years ago on the television. My introduction to Bunuel. Even more special: My introduction to Mlle. Deneuve! Love & Adoration at first sight and still one of my favourite women in ALL HISTORY OF CINEMA AND SPACE AND TIME AND GALAXIES AND COSMOS FOREVER AND ALWAYS!! (Sorry.) Also Quite, Quite Special: Pierre Clementi!! (Mmmm...) JE T'ADORE!! JE T'AIME!! S&M!!
CHARLOTTE FOREVER!
Last night, I had a distorted but distinct dream with this film's title and Vincent Gallo in it quite prominently. I have never seen this nor have I even watched any trailers or clips. Just a previous brief glance at that still of Gallo above and the featured synopsis, are all I have to reference along. Really liked both of Skolimowski's DEEP END and THE SHOUT. And Vincent. MUST SEE SOON. i guess//just because. Yep.
