Absolutely. You do need to trust the people you work with, or it will reflect in your film. Any young filmmaker (especially independent ones) are going to be ridiculed and condescended to. It might sound cynical, but it's the truth. But I would rather handle that than work on something I wasn't emotionally invested in.
Well, first we have to finish the damn thing! We're pretty much in complete post-production process by now... but we've been working on the film for almost a year now. We're aiming for a fall release (theatrically and hopefully in some form over the web). Are you involved in filmmaking yourself?
