They were still pretty splendid, though. If this is what cheesy TV drama looks like in France, I've got another good reason to move.
“I didn’t even see American Beauty, because I knew it was going to be about this middle-aged man and this woman who, because she has a career, she’s like cutting off his penis, and therefore he is forced to have fantasies about this 16-year-old girl." — Kathleen Hanna
She is the ultimate.
One of my favorite faces ever, not to mention a wonderful actress
So, I need to see everything he filmed...
Possibly my fave Natalie Wood performance/movie. :D
I'm relieved to see other people that preferred the play as well. The movie felt bloated.
A remake I actually ADORE.
I like you, R. Citizen (esp. with that Dandridge icon). I think that description would be more fitting for someone consistently campy/showy like Joan Crawford.
IA with scout - interesting visuals (Liz Taylor in that silver paint!) but such a disappointment otherwise. And I hate the ending so much.
HATERS GONNA HATE this film is harmless (esp. considering it's a rom-com). It's very colorful and playfully spoofs Doris Day/Rock Hudson comedies of the 60s. Also, EWANNNN!
Needed more Ewan.
ADORE HIM FOREVER. I do hope his career picks up, though. :|
L-O-V-E.
The best part about this was seeing Tyrone and Rita Hayworth together HNNNGHHHH
Very evocative capture of Nico's essence... it was amazing to see her speak with that rich voice. Although it could've been more factually based + a lot longer.
It's obviously intriguing but it kind of terrified me... when her parents are transformed into pigs, for example...
MUBI has The Pirate but no Summer Stock? FAIL. Anyway ilu Judy
So many great elements and memories. Somehow I sat through this entire thing multiple times as a child. Childcatcher = stuff of nightmares
Huppert is the ultimate ginger vamp in this
GIVE THIS BEAUTIFUL MAN A PICTURE
If only this had been made about a decade earlier, the casting of Deneuve and Rupert Everett would have been PERFECT.
They were still pretty splendid, though. If this is what cheesy TV drama looks like in France, I've got another good reason to move.
Jane is awesome in this. Favorite Vadim film
LOVE HER So warm and charismatic
Under-rated imo.
Coolest man ever
I grew up with this movie. So visually gorgeous and a lot of fun too
So much love
IDK what was going on in this movie but the people were GORGEOUS
Delon as Tom Ripley = yessss
