“No form of art goes beyond ordinary consciousness as film does, straight to our emotions, deep into the twilight room of the soul.” – Ingmar Bergman
I am merely a film lover, who one day dreams of being a filmmaker, to be part of the wonderful world of the cinema, the world that allows us to find our similarities, our differences, our strengths, our weaknesses, and to express them as best we can, through characters and situations that often feel more real than the lies that surround this world we live in. Music, literature, art, all rolled into one delicious medium known as film, one that I have loved my entire life, and though I still have not explored nearly as much as I would like, I am eager to thrust myself into all kinds of cinema, and hopefully one day to splash my own thoughts onto a canvas of film, and entangle myself in the delicate web of characters and stories that can make us laugh, cry, scream, and, in the best cases, all three. From “Blazing Saddles” to “Wild Strawberries” to “Annie Hall” to “You Can’t Take it With You,” I love any film that makes me think and feel, that will carry me away to a world of dreams and hopes, of harsh realities and floating clouds of smiles. Ah, movies. Just wonderful.
