I have certainly enjoyed his films far more than some of the other films, by different directors, mentioned already in this thread. It does seem he is somewhat overrated though.
What do you people think of the film ‘Friend’ by Kyung-Taek Kwak?
I am very unfamiliar with Kwon-taek could anyone perhaps recommend a film?
Fine art nude photography can be considered art. So if a director were to use techniques used by some of the worlds most accomplished nude photographers (such as from met art) i could see it working somehow.
I think the videogames industry is going nowhere and all this new motion control doesnt do much to help.
Video games dont even come close to compare with what films can give us and i think its laughable that anyone would think otherwise. But the gaming community is an odd lot and has always been very opinionated. They regularly debate on if games are art but never really come to any conclusion.
Videogames have a long way too go yet and have a lot of hurdles to overcome.
“And I don’t play games to have fun, I could not care less about any gameplay elements whatsoever. I care about the visuals, the music, the characters, the mood, the story. The same things I care about in film. And trust me, there are some games that deliver on those points and it is sublime.”
That’s exactly why i play videogames too. I think the main problem with games is that gameplay far too often gets in the way of the story or atmosphere. There is just far too much combat in games. Remove all the abundance of action and combat then maybe we can focus on the story and characters.
I’m sick of missing out on such servives like this simply because i live outside the US. Copyright laws and licensing or whatever it is really has gone crazy lately. It is quite infuriating how many services are denied if you live outside the US. Even youtube blocks certain things, even just a simple film trailer.
I would really like to know why this is happening and why all of a sudden businesses are blocking off outside US customers and pretending like they dont exist.
I was hoping there might be some actual recommendations in here. I just signed up for the free trial myself and to be honest i am a little unsure of what to watch.

Are videogmes becomin as, if not more, important than film? over 1 year ago
At best video games are just good entertainment and a great way to waste time. At its best film is art.

Why is this thread still alive? The actual question asked (if anyone remembers) was answered perfectly in the 2nd post.
