I think analog recording forced the musician to become better and grow as a player. Yes there were overdubs, but if any they were very minimal. I think digital recording has caused music to become too polished and less soulful. Granted it has its benefits; its cheaper and easier to go back and clean up.
I just hate growing up with bands that cant play for shit and are mediocre. What happened to bands like The Stones, Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Experience? Were is the talent? One band I actually enjoy that is pretty recent is Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band, reminds of Dylan.

Do you think that before digital recording, that analog recording created better muscians/music? almost 3 years ago
