Little Children was a beautifully edited trailer although I felt it kind of misrepresented the film. I actually liked the trailer much more than I liked the film itself (and it is on my top 10 list of that year.)
Another case of the trailer being better than the film is The Black Dahlia. The trailer really was one of the best I have ever seen. Then I watched the film and it was one of the worst I have ever seen.
I get a bunch of dvds from the library. However, I think some people like to slide them across hardwood floors and see what their fingerprints look like. So many dvds have been so damaged I couldn’t even watch them.
I remember, vaguely, seeing The Little Mermaid in the theatre when I was 5. I wish I could fully remember the experience. The first film I ever saw was The Wizard of Oz when it was rereleased for its 50th anniversary in 1989. I really wish I could remember that.
Is it ok to resubmit films that have been added almost 2 months ago to the forums but not the database? There are some from the Temp database that haven’t been added yet. :)
I couldn’t find any acceptable film stills that were bigger than this. If anyone could find one if this is ever included into the database, feel free to change it.
@ People who ask about when films are added to the database…
I have noticed sometimes a film is added but it doesn’t show up in the “recently added” list. I added The Harvey Girls and it was added to the database but it was not in the “recently added” films. I only found it by searching for Judy Garland. I wonder if some are in the database but not searchable by the database? … if that makes sense.
If anyone could find a better still, you can add it if the film gets added to the database. The best one I found was the black and white one, but it isn’t a black and white film. The color one was the only still in color that was acceptable.
^ I recently submitted the 1981 British miniseries of Brideshead Revisited, starring Jeremy Irons. I am hoping that would be included. It is the only faithful film adaptation of the novel (the other adaptation being a mediocre film a year or two ago).
Grey Gardens was recently added after I submitted it. TV film, yes, but it is one that has two major stars, won awards and based on a critically acclaimed documentary.
Brideshead Revisited, I, Claudius and Pride & Prejudice should definitely be considered.
I don’t really understand the difference between adding short films but hesitant to miniseries. Miniseries’ are still films but because of their length would never be released theatrically.

The old timer and trivia night champion with a slight indie douchiness.
Edit: Actually, it is more than slight. Much much more.
