Middle of Nowhere

It's pretty impossible to find any problems with this film. Starting with it's amazing opening sequence, the movie has perfect pacing (a lot due to the great editing by Spencer Averick). The entire cast is flawless; it feels as if newcomer Emayatzy is the only person that could've played the lead (those soulful eyes!). And DuVernay has SO much confidence in her direction that it's hard not to be riveted throughout.

Glad to see you liked Middle of Nowhere. How would you compare it to I Will Follow? I really liked that film (it was my girlfriend's favorite film last year) and I am hoping Duvarnay has expanded even further as a filmmaker with this new one.

Lumet lived a long time and gave us all many great films to see and appears to have been a great friend to many people. While it's sad that he passed away, he lived a great life and has earned the rest.

I would but I'm participating in the Auteurs Film World Cup (do a search for it and participate yourself). Lots of films I've never seen there.
