I like a wide variety of cinema, but seem to gravitate towards Asian, Scandinavian and Spanish cinema (with some French, German and North American thrown in for good measure). I’m not afraid of Hollywood or Bollywood, although I find my favourite films do not originate with either, and I enjoy subtitles (even when they are only in Dutch). I find cinematography and colour to be one of the most important features of a film, and will put up with a mediocre plot (and sometimes mediocre acting) if the before-mentioned features are exemplary.
