A great movie with superb characterizations. My mother was Swedish and growing up at this time so I really felt connected to her through this film.
Damn it feels good to be gangster. A great movie which pretty much helped me decide I could never work in an office.
I saw this movie first as a kid, and while even at that age I appreciated the skills of Day-Lewis and the visuals, the most I remember is how many times the main theme is played to make things more dramatic.
Ken Watanabe stole the show, and I'd like to think Cruise didn't get the girl in the end.
I first watched it with my dad who told me "it's a movie everyone has to see". He was very right.
I really enjoyed this film, and the following one. I thought that the characters stayed very true to their comic originals. Singer did a good job of showing xenophobia about mutants and their struggle with society, while keeping in-toe with the demands of an action movie. I wish Singer had stayed to do the third film as Bret Rattner pretty much destroyed the trilogy.
I thought this movie was visually stunning. However, films which deal with dreams or the mind affecting reality always confuse me.
