About Me

24 year old dude who is obviously a sucker for cinema; if you ask me about my favorite directors, Jarmusch and Godard have a good chance to pop up first. I also enjoy arts in general (especially books) and music in particular. I’ve played bass guitar for a while now and enjoy listenning to a variety of stuff, that goes from Pink Floyd’s Ummagumma to N.W.A.‘s Straight Outta Compton with pretty much everything in between (especially all that’s got Steven Wilson in it).

Outside from cinema, I have a couple of various interest, such as politics, outdoor sports, american football (especially DA bears), fine beer, travelling, skateboarding and golfing.

As a french speaking guy, you may find my post and reviews difficult to understand but I want to practice my english writing.

Un pays sans bon sens!

Cinema-verite goes political and a key movie to learn about nations without country in general and Quebec in particular. Quebec politics and history crash course in 2 hours, while it also speaks about native and Bretons, and can relate to Scottish, Catalonia or or any region in the same situation. Available at http://www.onf.ca/film/un_pays_sans_bon_sens/ for free, but in french without subtitles.

You're welcome! As beeing from a nation without country myself, I specially enjoy discovering about other culture in the same situation. I haven't seen a single movie on the list but I'll do my best to see a couple of titles soon.
