Hey, thanks for the support on a couple of my film blurbs. I'm a big comic book fan so I'll have to check out some of your work soon.
I liked that your list was meant to be realistic. Even if you don't enjoy complicated plots, I still think you could probably at least put a decent list together. In fact, your lack of enjoyment will mean you can look at the criteria more objectively (possibly) based on the criteria. Like the movie MoneyBall (which wasn't too bad, even if the actors don't really act like the people they're supposed to portray as much as their selves)
Hey, saw your Spy movie list "No Sex, No Gunes, No Gadgets" and thought you might be the guy to ask... I wanted to make a list of good documentary movies (Like Jiro Dreams of Sushi)and complicated plots/aka ones that make you think and use your brain (Inception, Matrix, Memento, Primer, Tinker Tailor...)
I agree with you, but i also agree that in a documentary you can express your personal believes like in a fiction film. But it's very complex indeed.
I see you are interested in Portuguese cinema. Excellent choice, Pedro Costa is probably the best film maker from my country
