I was expecting this movie to be very AMURRICA, but was pleasantly surprised. I'm not sure why everyone is hysterical over its alleged pro-torture stance. If anything, the movie proved torture to be ineffective. Bigelow doesn't stray from showing all of the ugly stuff to make you feel uncomfortable and I can appreciate that. Definitely plan on watching more of her films.
