Born in Rome on October 14, 1963. After completing an arts-based high school, he dedicated himself to independent theatre and video production. As an actor and director, he has staged works by Luigi Pirandello, Tennessee Williams, Slawomir Mrožek, Sam Shepard, Jean Cocteau and adaptations from Studs Terkel’s Working. He has worked on a number of TV serials for RAI and MEDIASET TV, directed by Luigi Perelli, Donatella Maiorca, Raffaele Mertes, Antonello Grimaldi, Robert Chapman and others. He is move work includes being directed by Barbara Dall’Angelo (CSC), Robert Hellis Miller, Andrea Lodovichetti (CSC), Maurizio Ponzi, and in 2003 Carlo Verdone in the film MA CHE COLPA ABBIAMO NOI. He has directed and produced a documentary on independent cinema, and a short on anti-personnel mines. “EXIT Una Storia Personale” is his first feature film as a director and screenwriter. Max Amato est né à Rome le 14 octobre 1963. Après un baccalauréat option artistique, il se consacre au théâtre indépendant et aux productions vidéo. En qualité de metteur en scène ou d’acteur, il a monté des œuvres de Luigi Pirandello, Tennessee Williams, Slawomir Mrožek, Sam Shepard, Jean Cocteau et des adaptations tirées de Working de Studs Terkel. À la télévision il a participé à différentes fictions de la RAI et de MEDIASET, mises en scène par Luigi Perelli, Donatella Maiorca, Raffaele Mertes, Antonello Grimaldi, Robert Chapman et d’autres encore. Au cinéma, il a travaillé avec Barbara Dall’Angelo (CSC), Robert Hellis Miller, Andrea Lodovichetti (CSC), Maurizio Ponzi, et en 2003, avec Carlo Verdone avec qui il a tourné le film « MA CHE COLPA ABBIAMO NOI ». « EXIT Une histoire personnelle » est son premier long-métrage en tant que metteur en scène et scénariste. Nasce a Roma il 14 ottobre 1963. Dopo la maturità artistica si dedica al teatro indipendente e alle video produzioni. Ha portato in scena, come attore e regista, opere di Luigi Pirandello, Tennessee Williams, Slawomir Mrožek, Sam Shepard, Jean Cocteau e adattamenti tratti da Working di Studs Terkel. In televisione ha lavorato in diverse fiction RAI e MEDIASET per la regia di Luigi Perelli, Donatella Maiorca, Raffaele Mertes, Antonello Grimaldi, Robert Chapman ed altri ancora. Al cinema con Barbara Dall’Angelo (CSC), Robert Hellis Miller, Andrea Lodovichetti (CSC), Maurizio Ponzi, e nel 2003 anche con Carlo Verdone nel film MA CHE COLPA ABBIAMO NOI. Come autore ha realizzato e prodotto un documentario sul cinema indipendente, un cortometraggio sulle mine anti-uomo. “EXIT Una Storia personale” è il suo primo lungometraggio come regista e sceneggiatore.
