"for mountaineers like artists are all deranged".
a heartfelt satire...amusing and moving...about how oblivious news media can be about the world outside of its offices. last man standing is still the common man grating his/her life against the market and political forces.
having watched calcutta, place de la republique and god's country before this film...i have come to admire louis malle's slices of life...and observations of subjects relevant till today.
Un bon film. Gem!
an interesting adaptation. liked the animation....some omissions like the incident of laxman chopping off ravan's sisters nose. but all in all, a good example of how an ancient story can still find a reverberation in the present...and in another country.
I'm falling in love with Rohmer with every film.
i loved the way the mughal/rajput miniature paintings have been shot, and weaved into the narrative. the accompanying short film - the sword and the flute, is equally beautiful.
Zizek's insights are fascinating. and they are presented interestingly, recreating himself in the very frames of the films he's analyzing....fantasy meets reality or vice versa!
All is Love!
its way too long. mayb if i saw the 3D one, id have enjoyed it a tiny littleee more.
was just gifted the Italian poster of the film!
a beautiful, poetic film that moved me beyond words. wish i could see myself watching it, as i saw these beautiful women watch the story of Khosrow and Shirin unfold ......faces tell a story!
The still here is incorrect. It's from _Supermen of Malegaon_
This has to be the first vampire film I've ever seen and, it is extremely moving......not really horror, but with that element of darkness about it, and subtlety of emotions....the entire concept of a vampire - its metaphors really took a hold on me in this one....hmmm its love.
