BIG YESSS to A Brighter Summer Day, maybe this is the only film I watched two times in a row, and that means 8 straight hours….and until today it’s still the most enormous difference between first and second viewing in my movie going experience…

@Adi: yah kayak beli mobil ajah (cieee gue ngutip Samantha di Sex and the CIty nih) mesti test-drive dulu, kalo demen beli yang asli dunk, at least that’s what I always do. I would never throw my 50 US$ for 8 1/2 before knowing or watched it before. But damn, I logged into my amazon account and ordered it right away. Lagian investasi gak langsung juga di masa depan buat filmmakernya sendiri, nanti kalo yang demen film udah pada bisa cari duit atau duitnya dah banyak pasti tarnya bakal inget n beli, because who can resist Criterion boxset with nice packaging, and stupendous booklet???

@Adi: yes, we’re poor people who also wants to get educated hehehe

@Addiena: sink or swim is from the 90s honey, it’s a unique documentary about the director’s childhood chronicle related with her father. And heyyyyyy Jude…..i still watch recent movies too, and that’s why I love you guys.

@Reno: mmm i think Punch Drunk Love is my favorite Sandler too. It’s like PTA criticizing Sandler’s previous characters in the movie.

@Andhika: gue di tengah-tengah lo sama Rajiv dah hahahahah a tortoise maybe.

@Rajiv: but that’s all the point, like in our lives, everything is on the surface, we know, understand, love or hate people based on the surface we see on them. Sometimes the characters are confused with themselves, that’s true, somtimes they feel sure or happy in the relationship the next thing marriage and relationship is just like a hell. While In the Mood for Love is about boundaries to certain decent people on certain era, 2046 is a j ourney of a guy who often feels proud of himself, and at the other time contrasting himself, keep making mistakes, but the problem is about whether is he lucky enough to make up his mistakes. They kept asking questions, but they also kep giving wrong anwers, the prince is on the top of a tower, with princesses messing aroung, like the opera of Puccini’s Turandot, but you switch the prince and the princesses roles.
