Yup I also agree…hands down There Will Be Blood. Supern soundtrack and one which I am constantly listening to every day. Atonement’s soundtrack was also very good indeed..
1. In The Mood For Love (Wong Kar-Wai)
2. Taxi Driver(Martin Scorese)
3. Blade Runner(Ridley Scott)
4. The English Patient(Anthony Minghella)
5. The Third Man(Carol Reed)
6. Lawrence Of Arabia(David Lean)
7.American Beauty(Sam Mendes)
8.Gone With The Wind(Victor Fleming)
9.Pulp Fiction(Quentin Tarantino)
10.Annie Hall(Woody Allen)
11.2001 A Space Odyssey(Stanley Kubrick)
12. Lost in Translation(Sophia Coppola)
13. Network(Sidney Lumet)
Well…Scorsese is my favourite director and have seen the majority of the films he made. I think you’ve underestimated his films there Olivier, he’s made some aboslute masterpieces over the years.
The Departed is far better than Infernal Affairs purley because the style of direction is much better and acting. Despite the fact I love Asian films and Tony leung is didn’t have the suspense that I wanted…
1.Taxi Driver 10/10
2.Goodfellas 10/10
3.The Aviator (9/10).
4.The Departed (9/10)
5.Raging bull (9/10)
6.Casino (9/10)
7.Mean street (9/10)
8.Cape Fear 8/10
9.The Colour of Money 7/10
10. The Age of Innocence 8/10
Worth checking out a short film he did at Uni called The Big Shave and Who’s that Knocking at My Door is worth the watch
I have Army in the Shadows on DVD and I’ve seen various other Melville films on region 2, but I can not find a region 2 version of this. I was wondering whether I’m looking the right place or not.

Something of Anthony Minghella…
-The Talented Mr Ripley
-The English Patient
Martin Scorsese
-Raging Bull
-Mean Streets
-Goodfellas
Steven Spielberg
-Schindler’s List
-Close Encounters of the Third Kind
-Ridley Scott’s Alien(1979)
-Roman Polanski’s Repulsion(1965) and The Pianist(2002)
-Joe Wright’s Atonement(2007)
More David Lean films
-Bridge on The River Kwai
-In Which We serve
-Lawrence of Arabia
-Doctor Zhivago
Hope that’s enough….^_^
