When it comes to cinematography, no one does it like Doyle. I must look like a strange, gaping fish while watching his work, jaw unhinging in awe and wonder at almost every shot. I mean, this is the stuff standing ovations were made for, folks. Breathtaking is an understatement, especially when he's paired with Wong Kar Wai, and though I seek eloquence and not obscenity, sometimes I can't help but utter a "holy sh**!" at what I'm seeing on the screen, so achingly beautiful. If I was going to write a fan letter to anyone in film, I think he'd be it. Bravo, Doyle.
Sorry, I did receive a notification for your reply, but I'm awfully busy and sometimes dreadfully slow at responding to things (and furthermore, tend to forget sometimes, if they're on someone else's wall, rather than my own).
