I can't decide between Courtney Cox as Melissa or Felicity Huffman in Transamerica as the worst representation of a pre-op transexual in cinema (and there is a lot to choose from). They're both extremely offensive not only because they are derogative but also cause they come from the imagination of imbeciles.
That's true, I did have trouble finding the actress' name because I haven't seen it in a while. But yes, I saw it multiple times as well on cable and it was horrifying then as well. Don't think I'm waging some ideological war against Jim Carrey I love how expressive he is, but using the stereotype of a transgender as a villain is beyond stupid ESPECIALLY when there is anti-gay bigotry hidden in subtext.
Cannot wait for Laurence Anyways, it made my stomach feel like a volcano erupting. Haven't felt that excited for a film in a while.

This would just be another home invasion horror/thriller if it wasn't for the split screen and abrupt ending (the story itself is not that interesting), both of which have been used with more innovation but it does add some level of suspense/intrigue since the whole plot revolves around one night.
