On The Mad Monk's Wall
That's a nice review of Irreversible. That film hit me hard, but I found myself going back to watch it the next day. I just couldn't believe a film had done that to me. Extraordinary. That's what I love so much about film--there's a visceral immediacy to its affect on you that no other art form can really touch. They say that the physiology of the brain while watching a movie is very similar to what happens when we dream. Makes so much sense.
Anyway, this is my roundabout way of asking whether you've seen Martyrs. I had a very similar reaction to it as I did to Noe's film.
