***1/2 I did see this film a few years ago but I didn't remember any of it before putting the disc into the DVD-player last night. I can see from here the contemptuous smile defacing you right now. I swear it's not a bad joke. The film just vanished among the hundreds of movies lost in my memory since the first time I saw it. Now I know why. If I was enthused by the modus operandi of the director after the first 30 minutes, I started to be a little annoyed by it after 90 minutes and was finally more than happy when the film ended. In fact, I don't like it when a director tries so much to show its skill, it becomes quickly snooty and boring. Like Steven Spielberg's 1941 if you see what I mean. Nevertheless I recommend MEMENTO to the curious ones.
