Probably the closest thing to a cinematic ee cummings poem. Korine has a beautiful way of processing and interpreting the emotions of the misunderstood and the mistreated. I like to watch the scenes and then think "being mentally ill is like __________" based on what is going on. For instance "being mentally ill is like being hosed with freezing cold water by your father while he tells you to be a man." Dark stuff.
