This is an extraordinarily hard film to find. I haven't seen it since catching it at a Montreal festival celebrating francophone cinema. It predates "Adaptation", "Stranger Than Fiction" and other films that blur the lines between artist and creation, reality and fantasy. Its mordant wit and ambitious ideas add up to a thoroughly entertaining ride.
