The Mirror

It's a very difficult film, the first time I watched it I dismissed most of its scenes as merely surreal with no apparent meaning, big mistake. It's a carefully woven, deeply personal work with poetry this time both visual by Tarkovsky and narrated by his father. I felt miserable when I found out how little I understood this movie, so it provides compelling second viewings.
