I adore Anthony Perkins, God rest his soul, and this is such a well deserved classic. Every moment- the music, the fact that Marion Crane dies in the first hour, and just how unexpectedly twisted everything is- makes this film brilliant! The Bates Motel and the house on the hill are two super frightening images and the shower scene... the moment you see the door open... gives me chills every time.
