About
Crank: High Voltage
Comparisons to Miike, T. Scott, and Verhoeven are all merited. But in its direct provocation and unblinking gaze at the hideous/hilarious, it reminds me most of Miike. Truly radical. Avant-garde is inadequate: this taps into the very fabric of cinema. It's hard to gauge how Neveldine/Taylor feel about humanity, but it cant be good.
