Scenes from the Suburbs

Personally, I was underwhelmed by this short. It looked nice - the long shots of the uniform houses as they drive by. Spike Jonze wins there, but it just seemed like it was attempting to be so dystopian that it lost any ability to make sense. The music video for M.I.A.'s "Born Free" by Romain Gavras more successfully captured a jarring, dystopian future than this. And it was only 5 minutes long.
