The conceit is a little cynical, but it's definitely not dull or dreck. Too many ridiculously good performances.

i disagree. there are a lot of great actors in the movie, but in my opinion only two of them gave great performances -- the rest of them just didn't transcend the shittiness of the material. and i found it to be unbearably dull -- i almost fell asleep several times while watching it, and i never do that during movies. you are more than entitled to your opinion of course, but i stand by my original assessment.

Ridiculously good performances? I'm sorry when Viola Davis has a better range of performance in her ten minutes of Extremely Dull and Incredibly Frustrating than she does in The Pleh, you know you've got issues.
