Come on guys, it isn't that good. The movie is redeemed by Peter Mullan and Olivia Colman's magnificent performances, and that's about it. The funny thing is that this movie is identical in almost every way to Ken Loach's My name is Joe, with Mullan in the lead role also. To my eyes, both of them are, from the direction to the social commentary, incredibly pedestrian. ¿Symbolic shots? Sorry, I missed that.
