Man, you've been very busy! From a film-related point of view I am glad to find Antonio Lopez ("El Sol del membrillo" is probably my favorite Spanish documentary ever) and I miss Velazquez's "La rendición de Breda" (for "La kermesse héroïque"). Childhood memories include analyzing the "Guernica" in school, fascinating. To name a couple of countrymen, little known abroad: Evaristo Valle or Nicanor Piñole.
