Felt like too many films (homage, historical fiction, two kinds of children's films) smooshed together by a DP that likes HDR a little too much. Also, overly dramatic child actors – ew. And I still can't figure out why American filmmakers think everyone else in the world: a) speaks English, and b) has a British accent. But, really, Helen McCrory stole the scene. Plus, her hair was incredible.
