I'm not "categorizing directors by color of flesh", I just pointed McQueen's race out as a source of pride and inspiration. I happen to care that he's black because there aren't many talented black directors working today in the mainstream and in a world where Tyler Perry is the most successful indie director I think it's important to have McQueen around. He's someone I can look up to next to all of the other Directors I like. I like Godard, and thank you for the quote, but I am not a film critic.
