Apparently some people can't grasp the concept of allegory or metaphor in fiction filmmaking anymore. Which is unfortunate. The movie, "controversial" ending and all, is emblematic of the last 10+ years of America itself, and every collapse via terrorism (9/11), natural disaster (Katrina), the economy (2008) that every empty suit in power told us not to worry about (or even 'you're crazy') before the shitstorm hit.
