Alien

I would consider Alien one of the top 5 sci-fi movies of all time. So well done it holds it's own today despite being made in 1979. It defined the genre of sci-fi/horror in my opinion, and nothing before or after has been it's equal. The aliens themselves are still scary thanks to the designs of HR Giger. And Sigourney Weaver is amazing and perfect as "Ripley".
