The Ides of March

There is plenty to celebrate about this movie, despite the creeping suspicion that it may be too tidy. Atop that list are the performances which range from riveting at best to effective at worst. It has relatively few new ideas regarding the political process, but that is the point of the film, the political process to be completely pure. An ably crafted political potboiler.
