Massively underrated, thought-provoking, often darkly funny. Endowed with that cinematic genius of being able to contain ideas concisely in simple repeating motifs; e.g., Gallo on the horse, the film's use of the homestead to echo Western movie mythology, Osama Bin Laden on his horse in propaganda videos -where do the images of others and those we identify as ourselves separate in our image-led world? A great film.
