On David Grillo's Wall

A Borrowed Life? No, I want to see it very much. I did find a bootleg in Taiwan without subtitles, so that didn't work. I think the best bet we have of ever seeing it is if someone buys the film print and plays it in a theater...otherwise I'm not sure anyone in Taiwan is interested in translating it.

Well, I might be wrong but I recall that there is mandarin, taiwanese, and japanese dialogue in the film, so you'd have to find someone who knows all three, which isn't too crazy. I would definitely be interested in putting some money into this endeavor. Why can't marty scorsese just use his influence to get this on dvd or something!?!

I've even thought about asking him.. http://mubi.com/users/59108 Although deep down I doubt its him.. lol. But really the guy has down a lot for Edward Yang I'm sure Wu Nien-Jen's works should be on his mind perhaps a letter..

But your right about the languages but also I think that link is from a vcd someone ripped with all mandarin subs throughout the film so really we just need to find someone who translates Mandarin. Really of the difficult things in the world it should be easy. I'll really start asking around there may even be a translator someone can use??
