Mubi's synopsis is not very good, it doesn't do justice to the movie. This is better http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attenberg#Plot Attenberg is NOT the city, it's a mispronunciation of David Attenborough, and the movie barely talks about the city or the workers, as mentioned in the synopsis.
