The Master

I saw it at Castro Theatre (San Francisco) last night, too. Every major performance in this very serious film (the most mature film by PTA to me) is disturbing, in a positive sense. Phoenix character is so interesting, and I very much liked his obsession for 'awkward' drinks... Magnificent score. Clever (maybe too stiff?) script.

    What do you mean when you say it is the director's most mature film? He is young. This is his most recent film. Therefore most mature? Isn't our most recent work always the most mature? If not, what do you mean?
