The Shining

I wasn't too fond of Nicholson's performance from the beginning. By the end, you're used to it, but the aloofness present from the beginning is interesting. Like it's saying he's crazy from the start and hiding it subtly. But the rest is great. Duvall's performance is interesting. Never seen a person hold a knife or a bat so flimsily, but still successfully.
