Super-talky and borderline-incoherent, touching on a smorgasbord of a grandiose ideas without really expounding on any of them. That being said, it can be intoxicating on a scene-by-scene basis, and I'm by no means dreading the second viewing the film necessitates. Pattinson is terrific. Not on par with DC's best, but much more vital and interesting than A Dangerous Method or Eastern Promises.
