A good film but not up to Hillcoat's previous films as 'The Proposition' or 'The Road'. The story felt rushed and unfocused, which is a shame considering Nick Cave wrote the screenplay. The cinematography had a natural sense of beauty, everyone including LaBeouf made charismatic performances but Guy Pearce stole the spot-light as the wonderfully sinister Special Agent Charlie Rakes.
