this movie is not concerned with important issues about just any third world country. if you couldn't pick what country it was exclusively dealing with by the end of the movie, then i strongly urge you to watch the film closely over again. i am saddened by the apathetic attitude of some people towards the message of this movie (which is far more important than the creative aspects of it), when Marjan satrapi did this project mainly to raise awareness for what iranians had to go through for the past 3 decades.
